Coordinator of Education Technology Programs

  • Develop, coordinate, and instruct classes/workshops on utilizing the museum’s technology-based resources to key audiences (museum visitors, members, families, K-12 teachers, faculty at colleges of Education, and museum volunteers). Over 2,000 K-12 educators have participated in facilitated teaching and technology workshops in the past 4 years.
  • Assess overall technology training needs for the Education Division and coordinate training with Information Systems. Research, develop, and train staff to use new technology resources.
  • Project Director of three-year federal grant project to improve the web site ArtsConnectEd.
  • Coordinate a multi-level institution-wide internship program (with over 200 interns in the last five year), including recruitment, application screening, placements, class scheduling, evaluations and records management. Make several presentations per year on internships and museum careers to outside groups upon request.
  • Member of the museum-wide Technology Team responsible for the approval of strategic planning of large-scale technology projects
  • Participate in special education partnerships, such as Visual Thinking Strategies teacher training program for Minneapolis Public Schools.
